Rage Against the Machine -- Bombtrack
Ughh!
Hey yo, it's just another bombtrack...ughh!
Hey yo, it's just another bombtrack...yeah!
It goes a-1, 2, 3...
Yeah, it's just another bombtrack
And suckas be thinkin' that they can fake this
But I'm gonna drop it at a higher level
'Cause I'm inclined to stoop down, Hand out some beat-downs
Could run the train on punks who think they run the game
But I learned to burn that bridge and delete
Those who compete...at a level that's obsolete
Instead I warm my hands upon the flames of the flag
To recall our downfall
And the businesses that burned us all
See through the news and the views that twist reality
Enough, I call the bluff, Fuck Manifest destiny
Landlords and power whores
On my people they took turns
Dispute the suits I ignite
And then watch 'em burn
With the thoughts from a militant mind
Hardline, hardline after hardline
Landlords and power whores
On my people they took turns
Dispute the suits I ignite
And then watch 'em burn
Burn, burn, yes ya gonna burn
Burn, burn, yes ya gonna burn
Burn, burn, yes ya gonna burn
Burn, burn, yes ya gonna burn
Burn, burn, yes ya gonna burn
Burn, burn, yes ya gonna burn
Burn, burn, yes ya gonna burn
Burn, burn, yes ya gonna burn
It goes a-1, 2, 3...
Another fucking radical bombtrack, Started as a sketch in my notebook
And now dope hooks make punks take another look
My thoughts ya hear and you begin to fear
That ya card will get pulled if you interfere
With thoughts from a militant, militant mind
Hardline, hardline after hardline
Landlords and power whores
On my people they took turns
Dispute the suits I ignite
And then watch 'em burn
Burn, burn, yes ya gonna burn
Burn, burn, yes ya gonna burn
Burn, burn, yes ya gonna burn
Burn, burn, yes ya gonna burn
Burn, burn, yes ya gonna burn
Burn, burn, yes ya gonna burn
Burn, burn, yes ya gonna burn
urrrrrrrrr
ugh
A yo i'ts just another bomb track
Yea!
ugh
Check it out
Burn, burn, yes ya gonna burn
Burn, burn, yes ya gonna burn
Burn, burn, yes ya gonna burn
Burn, burn, yes ya gonna burn
Burn, burn, yes ya gonna burn
Burn, burn, yes ya gonna burn
Burn, burn, yes ya gonna burn
Burn!

klesperanton
Klesperanton is a hybrid artificial language that takes elements from the constructed languages Esperanto and Klingon.
It is now spoken by dozens of people across the world, and fluently by several. Well a couple.
Klesperanton uses some linguistic features from both languages. For example the languages uses the Object Verb Subject (OVS) word order from Klingon and a whole bunch of characters you won't find on a standard keyboard from Esperanto.
The language has a wide range of sounds that the speaker needs to be able to produce including 34 consonants, 9 vowels, 3 semivowels, 2 demisemivowles, 1.5 hemidemisemivowles and 17 diphthongs. Non-Klesperantists may be surprised when confronted by a speaker emiting grunts, growls, clicks, pops and the "kSprit'on" exclamation which most closely resembles a spit whilst humming and whistling.
Klesperanton is somewhat rare in the linguistic world because it is a semi-tonal language. Speakers of the language are encouraged to develop their own individual tonal meanings for common words. Typical tones include first (high or singing tone), second (rising tone), third (dipping tone), fourth (falling tone), fifth (double-dipping or W tone) and sixth (the spitting tone). Unfortunately there is no common standard for tones, and this can sometimes lead to confusion among speakers.

family trees
I'm interested in how to draw family trees. Been playing with some software phpgedview. My project is to map out the genealogy of the Royal Family of Amber from Roger Zelazny's series of books.
I've been thinking about the limitations of family trees. They are OK to draw if you plot descendancy or ancestry charts but if you try and fit more data in the chart quickly becomes unmanageable, at least in 2 dimensions. Some other people have also been thinking of different ways of drawing family trees. I had in mind a family tree that includes your closest relatives in the most detail, i.e. big, and more distant relatives smaller. The closest to this representation is I think the "fractal" family tree. I also have been thinking about ways of navigating the tree using modern computerized interfaces. Here's something like what I would like to see. A flash family tree. Example = gods_tree.

Maynard Ferguson dead at 78.
Maynard Ferguson, the legendary trumpet player has passed away. He was an inspiration. I never did get to see him play live.
Here are five of my favorite CDs to listen to and appreciate the genius.

It's a sad day for trumpet players the world over.
Here are five of my favorite CDs to listen to and appreciate the genius.

- Big Bop Nouveau (1990) - The first CD I ever purchased. Even before I owned a CD player! Highlights include a medley performed on Maynard's 60th birthday tour. Chameleon, Macarthur Park, Frame for the Blues, Maria, Birdland.
- Chameleon (1974) - Highlight for me is La Fiesta.
- Maynard Ferguson Compilation from 1992. Aquarius.
- Live from San Francisco (1993) Recorded in 1983. Highlights are Fireshaker, Coconut Champagne and Ganesha, well actually the whole CD.
- The best of Maynard Ferguson (1980) First two tracks blew my mind. Gonna Fly Now and Macarthur park. (What a Bari solo!)
